Healthy Omega 3 Salad Recipe

 

Omega 3 Salad

The link between omega-3 and protection against heart disease has been well documented by various researchers. However, omega-3 fatty acids, which consist of eicosapentaenoic acid and docosahexaenoic acid, have shown to be beneficial in reducing the risk of depression, inflammation related to asthma, attention deficit disorders among many.

  • 1/2 bunch Spinach
  • 1 nos Apple
  • 2 nos Tomato
  • 1 tbsp Flax seeds ground
  • 1 tbsp Feta cheese
  • 1 tbsp Dressing: Olive oil
  • 2 tbsp Balsamic vinegar
  • Salt and sugar to taste
  • 1/4 cup Walnuts
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
  • 1 tbsp Ginger Juice

Method

  1. In a blender or mixer, blend the ingredients mentioned underdressing using a little water to a thick paste.
  2. In a bowl, toss spinach, apple and tomatoes gently and mix the walnut dressing.
  3. Add salt and sugar as per your preference.
  4. Garnish the salad with cheese and ground flaxseed. Deseed the tomato. Now combine spinach, apple and tomato toss them and add the dressing.
  5. Serve immediately or chilled.
