You need to ensure that you have more of fat burning type of hormones being secreted in your body. So eating proteins and healthy carbs can do that.

Finally, too much stress can cause you to put on weight. This is because stress releases cortisol in the body, which then craves junk food. This causes body to store fat and you put on weight despite your best efforts.
